Recent Makeup Loves

I've been shopping. My first Makeup post. yay! MAC is my fav beauty brand.  Love them.
I have been shopping at MAC for years, so this was supposed  to be a shopping trip just to replace old items, but I branched out and tried new shades.
I wasn't disappointed.

I needed new essentials, to me this would have to be foundation, concealer and fix +.
I believe if you invest on luxury brands such as these items, you can buy the rest of your makeup from drug stores. If you can afford luxury brands I would also recommend Painterly paint pot, its a great product to keep your eye shadow looking it's best throughout the day.
You always need lipsticks, right?
So I went for MAC red, Viva Glam II and Girl About Town. All lovely colours, between the three they will suit most makeup looks.
Lip liners scare me, but I'm trying. I have used them alot and now I am starting to love them more, they basically stop your lip stick from running out, while looking good at the same time.

These pictures hopefully show you how the lipsticks look on as the website doesn't show a true colour match, in my opinion.

I am extremely pleased with all the items and will be buying again. The quality of the products are great.  I can honestly say they stay on all day and don't even leave creases on your face. Lipsticks are all beautiful as you will agree, all three stay on and stay pigmented.
Very pleased.

If you want to ask any questions on the products just email me and I will answer the best I can for you.

A follow up on Nautical Stripes, How to 'get the outfit cheaper' and 'make the look more casual'

I have been getting alot of compliments off people for this outfit. But I have been asked about other ideas to 'get the outfit cheaper' and 'to make the look more casual'. Stripes are in for this summer and anyone can wear them.

Here are my influences for this outfit from SS15 fashion shows.

Designers such as Alexanda Wand, Topshop Unique and Altuzarran have been inspired in different ways. This shows whatever shape, style you like, stripes looks good on anyone. Whether you wear them vertical, horizontal, on the bottom, on the top or just a little, but anyone can look good wearing stripes.
But not everyone can afford designer.

This occasion outfit is based on my own, but to only wear it once, I've made it more affordable.

This is just as nice as my first outfit, but for half the price. So for people who only wear things once or twice, you can afford to do so with this outfit.
Shoes: Missguided snake skin court shoes  Bag: New Look silver bag Coat: New Look trench coat Dress: New Look stripe dress Make Up: Rimmel nude lipstick and Bourjois bronzer

For a more wearable look, a stripe shirt with ripped jeans; layered with a softer jacket would still give a similar look, particularly for people who are unsure about what to wear.  Yet, the pink brogues and silver bag  still  makes the outfit fashion forward and a great outfit to start with.

I hope I have shown you that you can take a trend and make it your own with whatever you are comfortable with.  You can look at designers, but its not all about copying, be confident and make your own statement.

Sail away, Nautical Stipe with a pop of colour

(close ups)

Nautical, is always in for the Summer. But this year, it swept all fashion weeks in Paris, Milan and New York.  They say designers have taken a twist to the typical sailor stripes, with longer lengths, oversized outfits and feminine silhouettes, set to compliment. Designers such as CholĂ©, Marc Jacobs, Chanel and Christopher Kane; all displayed beautiful interpretations of this trend, but the high street have also produced filtered down outfits which would compliment any size or shape. They did good.

I put this look together for a dressy casual outfit, for going out for a meal, or cocktails from day to night. The small heels and oversized mac dresses it down. But you can take the mac off, a bright lippy and the blingy bag it makes it instantly dressy.

As my Blog is very very new, I didn't really know the best way to start it all off. But... I did something really exciting last week, so I will make a start with that! If you have read my 'About Me' page you will know my jobs, life style, but for those you that haven't, I am a Personal Stylist for Oasis Fashion. Last Wednesday I went to London for Oasis' Press Day! WOOP WOOP!! I have been to one of these before and they never fail to disappoint.

Some of my fellow Personal Stylists

(Rosalind and Danielle - Glasgow, Kat - Manchester Trafford, Gabby - Liverpool, and Me - Sheffield Meadowhall)

These are a few of the goodies we got from the day. The theme of the day was called Hometown - a trip down memory lane. It was set out like a street with different areas, showing different trends, etc. Beautiful. So as our treat we were given a newspaper, showcasing the trends and looks, which also explained reasons why they had created and what they had created. We were also given a key which is a pen drive, showing all the looks of AW15, so we can check them all out now, ready for AW15 hitting the stores.

The overall day was amazing. This year's AW for Oasis is very different from what they have done in previous years. I feel they are trying to branch out and certainly going the right way about it.
I can't comment on the garments themselves at it's all top secret, but I will say you won't be disappointed.
